With just three days to go before the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Kensington Palace on Wednesday revealed the list of page boys and bridesmaids who will attend the nuptials. The father of the bride said, "This is a historic moment. I'd like to be a part of history".

Of course, Thomas Markle's decision could still change, so here's a rundown of everything that's happened so far.

A Kensington Palace spokesman responded to his decision not to attend, appealing for privacy for Meghan at this hard time.

Kensington Palace, the official residence of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, issued a statement late Monday following the allegations that Markle's father, who lives in Mexico, had pulled out of the wedding.

But he appears determined to make his daughter's big day and told TMZ if doctors discharge him from hospital he will travel to England. "Mr. Markle will walk his daughter down the aisle of St. George's Chapel".

Ms Markle's goddaughters, Remi Litt, six, and her elder sister, Rylan, seven, will also be joining the procession of bridesmaids.

According to Vanity Fair, sources close to Meghan expect that her mother Doria Ragland will now walk her daughter down the aisle. People confirmed that Thomas Markle would meet Prince Harry for the first time when he arrived in the United Kingdom a week before the ceremony.

But he has been hospitalized with chest pains, according to Meghan Markle's estranged sister, Samantha Grant, which may make the trip to the United Kingdom from California hard. It was exposed by the Daily Mail two days ago.

"So I said, really you need to show the world that you're getting in shape and doing great healthy things", she added.

After much to-ing and fro-ing, Meghan Markle's father Thomas Markle Sr, has confirmed that he will not attend her wedding on May 19.

According to TMZ, he told the website he regretted allowing the pictures to be taken and acknowledged they looked "stupid".

She is said to have reached out to him via text, telling him that she loves him and is concerned for his health - and he says she has no ill feelings towards him over the deal with paparazzi agency.

She is now reportedly set to have tea with The Queen, Prince William and the Duchess of Cornwall ahead of her daughter's wedding, where she will be playing the role of mother and father of the bride.

"I've been popping Valium for the pain, especially when I hear about my oldest daughter", Markle Sr. reportedly told TMZ.
