The Bursaspor defender, who participated actively with the Super Eagles during the qualifiers, says he is honoured to make Nigeria's provisional list.

With three friendly matches lined up ahead of the World Cup including a prestige encounter against England at the Wembley Stadium on June 2, members of the squad have reiterated their readiness for the challenge ahead. "I wish all the invited players best of luck", told ScoreNigeria.

Okala, who is the longest goalkeeper for Nigeria, however, said that he was happy for the new entrants into the squad - Junior Lokosa and Simeon Nwankwo. "It's my dream to play at World Cup in Russian Federation, but the coach has the right to pick whoever he thinks he needs at a particular point,".

Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has revealed that the absence of goalkeeper Carl Ikeme is his biggest regret going into next month's World Cup in Russian Federation.

On the goalkeeping front, coach Gernot Rohr has named four goalkeepers, Ikechukwu Ezenwa, Francis Uzoho, Daniel Akpeyi and Dele AJiboye.

The defence has Turkey-based Kenneth Omeruo, William Troost-Ekong and Shehu Abdullahi while Cercle Brugge's 30-year-old Elderson Echiejile, Leon Balogun, Ola Aina, Tyronne Ebuehi, and Nantes centre-back Chidozie Awaziem also made the cut.

The 30-man provisional list cntains regular suspects such as Mikel Obi, Victor Moses, Ogenyi Onazi and so on, but the surprise of the pack is the inclusion of Junior Lokosa, Kano Pillars striker.

The Midfielders include Mikel Obi (Captain), Joel Obi, Ogenyi Onazi, Mikel Agu, Etebo Oghenekaro, John Ogu, Uche Ago and Wilfred Ndidi.
