The first trailer for Hotel Artemis has landed online, revealing Iron Man 3 co-writer Drew Pearce's feature directorial debut.
"Hotel Artemis" is set in near-future Los Angeles at a members-only hospital for criminals. But things are disrupted after a heist, led by Waikiki (Sterling K. Brown), results in his friend Honolulu (Brian Tyree Henry) getting shot, and the pair seek out the Hotel Artemis for help.
Hotel Artemis is set for release on June 8. Jodie Foster looks to be having a blast as the Nurse, and Jeff Goldblum's villain seems as charming and fun as his Grandmaster in Thor: Ragnarok. But damn, if Hotel Artemis doesn't have a stellar cast.
Hotel Artemis has a ridiculously talented cast, and it looks like the upcoming thriller will have more than enough badass characters and action scenes to keep the energy of the trailer going.
We wouldn't blame you for not knowing much about Hotel Artemis-it's an original movie, not based on any book or comic or theme park ride.
Despite the clientele, the trailer tells us Hotel Artemis has a few rules, which include: no fighting and killing other patients, no disrespect towards the staff, no weapons, and the strangely normal "No outside food and drink". This is similar to the hotel from the John Wick movies, but clearly much more about patching up and healing people than providing them with more services.
Did you love John Wick, but maybe wished it focused nearly exclusively on the Continental Hotel?
Hotel Artemis, also starring Sofia Boutella, Dave Bautista and Charlie Day, is set to hit United States theatres June 8.
