England worldwide Rashford scored twice for United in their 2-1 victory over Liverpool on Saturday, having made his first start since Boxing Day.
The last few months have seen the Manchester-born academy product's remarkable rise plateau somewhat as he has had to make do with substitute appearances under Jose Mourinho's management.
"Mourinho has bought (Alexis) Sanchez in January and of course it's the truth that it's not good for Rashford's development and he will play less now for Man United".
"We are not one of the best teams in the competition but when a team arrives in the last eight, anything can happen", said Mourinho.
"He's fine. He's happy that the team is getting results", Mourinho stated.
As it turns out, the 20-yea-old has made more appearances during Mourinho's reign at United than any other player.
Across the Premier League and in Europe he has been on the pitch for nearly 1,700 minutes.
De Boer was in charge of five competitive matches as Palace boss earlier this season, losing his four in the Premier League but beating Ipswich in the EFL Cup before his dismissal on September 11. He had seven matches, seven defeats [sic], zero goals.
Rashford may not start quite as regularly as he did before Sanchez's arrival but his latest heroics prove he undoubtedly has a future at Old Trafford.
Simon Kjaer returns to the first XI, while Jesus Navas is not involved on his first return to Manchester since leaving United's neighbours City. The boos that greeted his 70th-minute substitution for Marouane Fellaini on Saturday suggest United supporters agree.
England forward Rashford scored two wonderfully taken goals as he starred decisively in United's 2-1 Premier League win over bitter rivals Liverpool on Saturday night (AEDT) - his first top-flight start since Boxing Day. Mourinho is aware of such history surrounding United and as long as Rashford's performances remain at a high level, he will continue to get opportunities.
