We have some NCAA tournament second round action out of the Midwest region as the #12 seed South Dakota State Jackrabbits take on the #5 seed Ohio State Buckeyes in a college basketball matchup from Taco Bell Arena on Thursday. Villanova defeated No. 11 Duke during that stretch to open the season, then went on to post a 12-6 record in BIG EAST play and earn the No. 3 seed in the conference tournament.
The 2017-18 Ohio State roster has seven games of NCAA Tournament experience and two starts, both by Jae'Sean Tate, entering the 2018 NCAA Tournament. Miller averages 18.1 points and 5.7 rebounds per game, while junior guard Madison Guebert is averaging 14.8 points per contest.
SDSU's season featured non-conference wins over Ole Miss and Iowa. Earning the fifth seed is an accomplishment by itself for the Buckeyes this year.

The SDSU women, winners of the Summit League Tournament for the eighth time in ten years will find out their NCAA Tournament opponent during tomorrow (March 12) night's selection show at 6:00 PM on ESPN.
GW earned its 17th all-time trip to the NCAA Tournament last weekend when it rattled off four wins over the course of the Atlantic 10 Championship, including upsets of No. 4 seed George Mason in the quarterfinals and No. 1 seed Dayton in the semifinals, punctuated with a rout of Saint Joseph's in the title game for its seventh A-10 tournament crown. It is the 16th time in the last 19 years overall that Villanova has qualified for a national postseason tournament.
