Curling has quickly become one of the most popular events at the Winter Olympics and that means there were plenty of eyes watching the two teams compete for the bronze.

It is very rare for a curler to fall in professional curling, and the spill drew gasps from the stunned crowd.

Canada and Switzerland will compete for the gold in the mixed doubles curling event Tuesday morning.

She and her husband won gold at the 2016 World Mixed Doubles Championship in Karlstad, Sweden.

Anastasia took up the sport in 2009 after being attracted by an advertisement for a curling club at an ice sports complex and has a master's degree from the Lesgaft National State University of Physical Education, Sport and Health.

But while she and her partner may have lost to the USA pair, her Instagram photos have set tongues wagging.

Many are finding a new reason to root for curling in the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang.

"It's very important that we are family", she said after the bronze medal win. At the same time, the IOC allowed clean athletes to participate in the upcoming games as "Olympic Athletes of Russian Federation".
