Apple Live News Section Now Available in TV App

Once you have those apps on your device, you can ask Siri to "Watch Bloomberg" so that you don't even have to open up the TV app in the first place.

The News section in the TV application is accessible under the main "Watch Now" header. Snapchat is also working in partnership with NBC.

While this will be appearing in News, the portal will be doing more than just reporting what has happened in the latest events.

If you tap on one of those icons, it launches the live stream in each of those apps.

NBC is kicked off its primetime Olympic coverage during opening night on Thursday. I have two guesses. For now, it's quite limited as it only supports a handful of channels for American users.

Coinciding with the start of the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in PyeongChang, South Korea, Apple has added live news videos to its TV apps for iOS and Apple TV, as well as a dedicated PyeongChang 2018 section of its News app for iOS.

Apple itself has been making several moves to beef up its own content plays, aiming to have more exclusivity and ownership of what it provides on its own video and music services as a way of differentiating them and potentially making them more attractive for consumers to pay to use.

Apple originally demoed this feature back in September when it unveiled the Apple TV 4K.
