Google Photos introduces new features for Valentine's Day

In the past, Google Photos would automatically create the movies based on stored images that are linked into special occasions, however users can now custom-make their movies.

Google Photos has received an update that lets you leverage its built-in artificial intelligence (AI) technology to start creating ideal themed movies directly using your existing photos.

Now it looks like Google is taking it one step further, by introducing a new feature that will let users create themed videos.

The feature is also available for desktop users. However, Google has now expanded the original movie building feature with the option to create themed movies.

As Winn has indicated, making use of the latest Photos offering is "the flawless way to celebrate all of your favorite people, furry friends, and treasured moments". "If you want to tweak the result, you can take a seat in the director's chair and edit your movie with the movie editor in the iOS or Android app", the web search titan explained. Themes such as "They Grow Up So Fast" and "Meow Movie" will use the Face grouping feature on Google Photos to group photos on the basis of similar faces.

There's a special Valentine Day's theme available, so you can go ahead and use that one.

It seems like the giant, Google is testing out a new Google Photos update which will soon show you the shared photos as a preview on your smartphone within the notification panel. These books come at a starting cost of $9.99.

To create one, users can start by opening the app and clicking the "Assistant" tab, then "Movie" - or simply visit this link and later pick one theme or the person (or pets) who will be featured in it. However, only users residing in the United States and Canada will have access to this special promo.
