The England worldwide, Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil all have contracts that will expire in the summer.
The Arsenal boss admitted on Thursday that Sanchez was likely to complete a move to Old Trafford over the next 24 hours, with outcast Henrikh Mkhitaryan heading the other way.
Arsenal will return to Premier League action on Saturday when they host Crystal Palace in front of their home fans at The Emirates. "We've not heard much on that and it sounds like negotiations have gone on behind the scenes and he will sign".
"I play for the club for three and a half years".
"Even today when I watch them play I want them to win but at the same time I want them to lose because the anger in me is too big".
"I am not taking that so it was just to show them that the person you are insulting still has something in his locker".
"He's of that personality where sometimes he will just go down into a little bit of a lull and that's where he does need a kick up the backside from a manager to keep him going and from team-mates as well on the pitch", Smith added.
"After that, I think I can deal with the kind of stress it creates and the experience I have helps me to focus on what is important, at the right moment". He's definitely got it in him but whether he will perform to that level week-in-week-out is another matter.
'I wonder about the quality of players Arsenal have been signing, ' Petit said.
