The grandson of the Kansas State head coach and son of the the Wildcats' associate head coach reportedly died Wednesday at age 22.
Rowland said police don't suspect foul play in Snyder's death. At the time of this writing, the details now available are scant, as police have confirmed the death, but are not yet releasing any other information.
Rowland said investigators were "not comfortable" classifying Snyder's death as a suicide Thursday morning, but she did not rule that out.
According to a report from The Mercury, an emergency medical call was placed on Wednesday. At that time, Riley County police confirmed that there had been a death but declined to give any further information.
K-State's athletic department has not yet made a comment in regard to the incident.
The house at 3309 Claflin Ave.is owned by Sean and Wanda Snyder, according to county records.
Our thoughts go out to the entire Snyder family during this tragic time. His son Sean has served as the team's special teams coach and director of football operations since 2011 and has been an assistant coach with the school since 1994.
