Barcelona have loaned former Turkey worldwide Arda Turan to Istanbul Basaksehir for the rest of this season and two more, the Liga leaders said in a statement on Saturday.
Barca announced that the 30-year-old will make the move on loan for the remainder of his contract.
Los Azulgranas agreed on a two-and-a-half-season loan for the midfielder, and maintain the right to sell the player in that period (the Turkish club are the most likely suitors) in every transfer window, as well as receiving unstated performance-based variables.
The fourth-most capped Turkish player will also be hoping to return to his best for the national team after reversing his decision to retire from worldwide football in August.
A statement on the club's official website read: "Arda Turan has played a total of 55 games for Barca, scoring 15 goals in his two-and-a- half years as a Blaugrana".
Although Turan moved from Atletico Madrid to Barcelona in the summer of 2015, he made his debut in January 2016 due to a Federation Internationale de Football Association transfer ban on the Catalan side.
Arda won a league title, the Europa League and reached the Champions League final during his time with Atletico.
But Turan failed to cement himself in the Barca squad after joining Barca late due to a transfer embargo.
