Paige Forced To End Her WWE In-Ring Career After Latest Injury

PWInsider reported today that Paige "was informed this week that she will not be cleared to return to the ring" following the injury, with her affliction believed to be similar to the one which forced Edge to retire from WWE in 2011. 2017 into 2018 was supposed to be her major comeback to WWE, her redemption.

Reports suggest she will only be removed as an in-ring competitor and may still appear in WWE shows in a non-wrestling capacity. While she was rehabbing her injury, explicit photos and videos of her with her boyfriend (fellow wrestler Alberto El Patron) were leaked. Paige experienced something called a "stinger" which is when you temporarily lose feelings in your limbs.

The injury she suffered recently was very serious because Sasha Banks kicked her from behind. This is quite sad because this year's PPV is the first time that the women are getting their own Royal Rumble match.

The Norfolk hero made her long-awaited return to WWE after a year's absence in November and formed the daunting trio of Absolution alongside Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville.

She became the youngest Divas Champion in history and won the title for a second time in August that year. She has had a role on Total Divas in the past as well. Despite making her return to WWE two months ago, she may never be medically cleared by WWE in the near future.

Of course, The Rock is producing WWE Studios' forthcoming film "Fighting With My Family", which will be released theatrically September 14th. The film itself is based on a documentary.

Despite the possibility of Paige not being able to wrestle ever again, this does not mean she will leave the WWE forever. Obviously, that will continue as well.
