Bungie Gives Destiny 2 Development Update Regarding Eververse, XP Rates and More

As promised during the Holidays, game director Christopher Barrett has finally spilled a hefty sum of intel about "Destiny 2", especially the upcoming events and game tweaks in the coming months. Bungie's biggest fans, and most vocal ones, have been screaming at the top of their lungs that the Eververse and the systems that attempt to funnel people towards microtransactions needs to be better. The fixes address the concerns of long-standing Destiny players, and include reworked raid rewards, changes to Eververse, the return of 6v6 and Rumble (free-for-all) to the Crucible, and much more.

Aside from just leveling up, the developer claims that they'll provide a gameplay path to earn Bright Engrams and all contained rewards, including Event Engrams. That is in light of controversy over the amount of experience gained.

Bungie promises that Season 3 will see "even more" changes. The Spring update will be released either before or during season three.

The last is that they'll be giving players more direct purchase options.

"At the end of past year, I made a promise that I would update you on our plans for Destiny 2", "The team has been hard at work and we're ready to share where we are headed".

For Spring 2018, the next Destiny 2 expansion is expected to arrive.

Add text chat to the Tower for the PC version of the game. "In the coming months, we'll talk to you more about what you can expect to find in Destiny 2's next story". Barrett said that the in-game store, which primarily sells cosmetic items, will be changing in upcoming seasons of Destiny 2.

"We're taking the time we need in development of Expansion 2 that will allow us to react to player feedback from Curse of Osiris", Barrett said.

Valor is a rank that increases with progression, or in other words, by completing Crucible matches.

Exotic weapons and armor are receiving a comprehensive design pass to ensure they stand out from the rest of the gear and offer new, exciting, powerful ways to play.

Bungie will likely have additional details as the next Destiny 2 live event gets closer.

On 30th January, Destiny 2 will add Masterwork armour, and the much-requested return of raid loot with raid-specific perks. Mayhem - a mode in which abilities recharged faster, and one of the few bright spots of the Dawning - will return as a limited-time event on a regular basis.

Seasonal Reputation: Specific vendors will now display a Seasonal ranking. Seasonal rewards from these activities will also be available to everyone.

This feature solves the problem of experiencing the same playlist entry multiple times in consecutive or frequent succession for both Crucible and Strikes.

Multi-emotes, extra vault space, and lots of other features that fans asked for. Everything that seems to be constructed in order to coax you into spending more money pretty much stayed the same, despite fan protests.

In the near future, Bungie will look to add the following and more.
