Nintendo has announced the sports game Mario Tennis Aces for the Nintendo Switch.

The impeccable Super Mario Odyssey gets a new competitive game mode and an appearance by the well-known plumber's too frequently ignored brother. While this doesn't mark the debut of such a mode in an "MT" game - the honor goes to "Mario Tennis Power Tour" for the Game Boy Advance - it's a first for a Nintendo console outing. New additions from the Wii-U include Hyrule Warriors and Donkey Kong Country Freeze. This wasn't the last Mario Tennis game to be released, but it was the last truly great Mario Tennis game that we've seen on a home console. Fe is set to launch on the Nintendo Switch on February 16, 2018.

Coupled with Bayonetta 1 and 2 as well as Dragon Quest Builders slated for a February release, it sees that Nintendo Switch owners have a wealth of choices for what to buy next.

A new DLC pack, known as Battle Pack, is also available to purchase now for Pokkén Tournament DX. Select from a cast of butt-kicking heroines, as the name entails, and throwdown with opponents in tag-team matches that require more than just taking down HP. The games also had RPG elements that allowed you to level up your character's stats.

During this morning's Nintendo Direct, the company announced a Switch port of the cult-classic DS/iOS RPG The World Ends With You. Players will be able to sing across a handsome expanse on February 16.

On the other hand, you have Celeste, a title that is a more action platforming focused titles. It's coming January 25.

Three remastered titles were also announced for the Switch, with updated versions of the Wii U titles Hyrule Warriors and Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze coming in the spring, followed later in the year by a "Remix" version of the 2008 Nintendo DS title The World Ends with You. Nintendo being Nintendo, the game still comes with two-player co-op, but players can utilize spit Joy-Cons to play together. It's the first time a game in the Souls series has made it to a Nintendo console. The game will be available on May 25, 2018.

Did any particular title catch your interest during this Nintendo Direct? Players will face many new and returning threats in this new Kirby adventure, coming to the Nintendo Switch March 16, 2018.
