Earlier today Nintendo released a Nintendo Direct Mini which talked about some upcoming games for the Nintendo Switch with a couple of big surprises. Dark Souls: Remastered includes the Artorias of the Abyss DLC, as well as improved framerate and resolution from the original Dark Souls game for your return to Lordran. Not to mention it's the first time you can play a Dark Souls video game anywhere you want!
Super Mario Odyssey will also be receiving a new game mode, a free update introducing Balloon World.
The Battle Pack is now available for purchase in Nintendo eShop on Nintendo Switch and includes two Waves of Battle Pokémon and Avatar items. But most important of all, The World Ends With You -Final Remix- adds a brand new scenario "that gets to the heart of the story". The Switch port features the same two player co-op side-scrolling action, and also adds Funky Kong as a playable character. Players will be able to play with either touchscreen or traditional controls.
More than a decade ago Square Enix and Jupiter Corporation released The World Ends With You on the Nintendo DS to wide acclaim from gamers and a lot of positive feedback even from game journalists.
The 2008 DS game will be ported to the Nintendo Switch this year with HD visuals and a new epilogue.
You can think of Dragon Quest Builders as a story-driven Minecraft with the quirky characters, monsters and excellent music which the Dragon Quest series is renowned for. The 2013 game Payday 2is also coming to the Switch on February 27th, complete with online cooperative gameplay.
Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze will release on the Nintendo Switch on May 4. The first wave, coming out on January 31, will introduce Aegislash and a support set for Mega Rayquaza and Mimikyu. You'll run, climb, and glide through its many mysteries and use motion controls of the Joy-Con to sing in tune with creatures and plants to unlock new abilities.
The game comes from Camelot, the longtime developer behind the Mario Tennis franchise. No date for Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition has been set aside from a spring release window.
Funky has a host of new abilities that combine all of the other Kong's abilities into one character, including double jumping, hovering, and infinite rolling. Dark Souls will be released on May 25. This one includes split Joycon play, but it also comes with a whole new character that seems to be an easy mode in and of himself. Wave 1 will be available January 31, and Wave 2 is scheduled for March 23.
