LaVar Ball says LiAngelo and LaMelo have signed with agent Harrison Gaines

LaVar also told ESPN that the agent, Harrison Gaines, has been working the phones to deal with overseas squads that reportedly have some interest. LiAngelo received an indefinite suspension after authorities caught him and two UCLA teammates shoplifting during the school's overseas trip to China.

"One day after he abruptly removed his middle son from UCLA, LaVar Ball began his quest to prepare LiAngelo for next year's National Basketball Association draft".

LaMelo is nearing 6-feet-6 and could be as talented as older brother Lonzo, who plays for the Lakers. Lonzo, for instance, was highly recruited before starring at UCLA and LaMelo made a name for himself by scoring 92 points in a high school game last season before being pulled out of Chino Hills High School by LaVar earlier this year.

Now the new plan is far more unorthodox, as it calls for the bros to play together somewhere internationally before eventually declaring for the draft. When LaVar Ball publicly downplayed Trump's role in bringing the incident to a close, Trump wrote on Twitter that he "should have left them in jail".

'He's not on any of our scouting lists - even the extended lists, ' one National Basketball Association general manager told Wojnarowski. It's a future that has nearly certainly been made more unlikely by this move.

On Thursday, though, LaVar put that dilemma to rest.

The tweet seems to be reigniting a fued that originated over the arrest of LaVar's son LiAngelo and two other UCLA basketball players for shoplifting in China. "I just need to get them playing again".

Historically, players who've eschewed college for a year of pro ball in Europe or Asia haven't ended up in high draft slots.
