After being drafted by the team with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2015 draft, Okafor has yet to play a significant role in Philly.

The Philadelphia 76ers are trading the 21-year-old center to the Brooklyn Nets, per ESPN's Zach Lowe.

The Philadelphia 76ers have finally parted ways with disgruntled forward Jahlil Okahor. During his career, Booker has spent the majority of his years as a backup with averages of 7.1 points and 5.7 rebounds per, but it's been his play while in Brooklyn that has turned heads.

CBS Sports will continue updating this breaking news story as necessary.

Okafor fell victim to a numbers game over the past year, slipping behind a healthy Joel Embiid, Richaun Holmes and even Amir Johnson this season.

In 2017-18, Kilpatrick has accounted for 4.9 points, 2.2 rebounds and 0.9 assists a game in 183 minutes and 16 games in this his fourth National Basketball Association season.

Booker and the Sixers will face Okafor, Stauskas, and the Nets on January 31. In June, the Nets acquired D'Angelo Russell, as well as Timofey Mozgov, from the Lakers for Brook Lopez and the 27th pick in the 2017 draft. "I've done everything they've asked of me and I would just like to get an opportunity to play with a trade or a buyout".

When looking at all of the drama behind the center expressing his frustration by still being on the team without receiving playing time, a fresh start for Okafor was best for both parties.
