While we have all heard the rumors that more Jurassic World was coming, today we get The First "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom" Teaser Trailer. These teasers; titled Run, Awesome and Legacy, give us some idea of what's in store in the next Jurassic World offering. This explosive featurette is loaded with tons of new footage and insights into the movie, and also features our first look at the return of one of the franchise's most beloved characters, Jeff Goldblum's Dr. Ian Malcolm. There is also a shot of a new dinosaur that seems to want to devour Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard).
Jurassic World's director Colin Trevorrow co-wrote the sequel with Derek Connolly. Before that, Universal Pictures released a small sketch with Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard and YouTube star Zach King. Howard calls the film intense and spectacular, promising "it's like nothing you've ever seen before". "But it's not what you would necessarily expect".
As if the real life robot dinosaurs in this movie weren't enough to get people excited, there's also a small but attractive shot of Jeff Goldblum looking incredulous.
"I had to overcome the impact of being in front of Ian Malcolm", Bayona tells EW. This is the 5th film in the Jurassic Park franchise.
The movie is scheduled to hit the big screens of the United Kingdom on June 7, 2018, and the U.S. on June 22, 2018. And yes, it is indeed a nasty piece of work, with one of its signature traits being that it actually ate other dinosaurs. Yum. Turns out uploading trailers is a lot more risky than we were led to believe.
It's yet another reminder of the importance of the original Jurassic Park in the world of visual effects, as well as an encouraging hint that Fallen Kingdom will indeed make use of plenty of animatronics, as a tweet by Chris Pratt had everyone guessing before Thanksgiving.
