John Mayer Reportedly In Hospital For Emergency Appendectomy

Rock singer-songwriter John Mayer on Tuesday went into emergency surgery for removal of his appendix, forcing his band featuring former members of the Grateful Dead to postpone a show.

The NOLA show has been rescheduled, with ticket refunds also available at point of purchase. Information on the rescheduled date will be announced as soon as possible. He had been due to perform at a concert in New Orleans with the Dead & Company, but that date has been postponed.

Not counting the New Orleans show, Dead & Company have two more concerts left on their current tour - this Thursday in Orlando, Florida, and Friday in Sunrise, Florida.
