LaVar Ball pulls son LiAngelo Ball out of UCLA, ESPN reports

"There's no need to break down a kid's spirit for making a mistake", someone speaking under anonymity from LaVar's camp told TMZ Sports. ESPN reported that the players have not been allowed to suit up, travel or practice with the UCLA basketball team.

LiAngelo Ball will no longer play for UCLA after his father reportedly pulled the freshman out of school.

LiAngelo, who was in his freshman season with the Bruins, never played a game for UCLA and is now suspended indefinitely from the team. The charges were eventually dropped, but not before the worldwide incident made headlines when President Donald Trump tweeted that he helped free the players, which the elder Ball disputed.

A reason LiAngelo Ball was on the UCLA roster was due to his older brother, Lonzo, starring there previous year, and because his five-star recruit younger brother, LaMelo, is slated to go there in 2019.

LiAngelo Ball

Father LaVar ball blamed UCLA for the situation.

The move came four weeks after LiAngelo Ball and two of his UCLA teammates were arrested in China and charged with shoplifting. I tell him to go get the victory. While LiAngelo Ball is good enough to make the UCLA roster, he probably has little chance to make an National Basketball Association roster anytime soon. "The plan is now to get Gelo ready for the NBA Draft".

LiAngelo arrived to UCLA as a far less heralded recruit than his older brother, Lonzo, but LaVar had repeatedly said that all three of his sons would be one-and-done basketball players.

"I haven't told any of those guys,"Lavar told ESPN".
