Dead, 6 Hurt After Parking Dispute Outside New York Lounge


A hit-and-run driver plowed into a group of pedestrians in Queens on Sunday, killing one person and injuring three others, police said. Harry then drove his vehicle up onto the sidewalk, hitting six people before fleeing the scene, according to police.

Police in New York City say a fight over a parking space turned deadly on a street in Queens, leaving one person dead and eight injured.

The New York Police Department said early Monday morning that Adrian Harry, of Queens, had been charged with one count of murder, two counts of assault and 10 other charges of reckless endangerment and criminal possession of a weapon.

The injured people were taken to an area hospital. They say the driver of a white Honda sedan exited the vehicle and stabbed two individuals.

"I saw a couple of kids, just fighting", neighbor Milagros Urbina said.

A 23-year-old man from Far Rockaway, one of the men the driver hit with his auto, was pronounced dead at a local hospital, sources said.

The 29-year-old who the driver stabbed is in critical condition with a head injury and a stab wound.

Sources tell NY1 that the Hyundai driver, a 22-year-old man from Far Rockaway, showed up at Jamaica Hospital around 5 a.m. with a laceration wound.

Harry was later caught after taking himself to Jamaica Hospital, police said.
