Oregon Ducks Lose On Boise State Buzzer Beater

Williams spent three seasons with Valparaiso before transferring to Boise State. "We had our opportunities ... and just made a lot of silly mistakes".

Chandler Hutchison, playing in his second game after recovering from a head injury, had 20 points, 10 rebounds and three rebounds in the Bronco win.

Despite that run, the Ducks got the game within a bucket in the final minutes, though it came with MiKyle McIntosh and Paul White fouled out on the bench.

OR has a week off before returning to host Colorado State next Friday. Zach Haney added 17 points while Justinian Jessup chipped in 15. This team has been in as unfriendly of territory as it gets in the college football world and it's a safe bet that coach Tedford has helped them learn from those experiences.

Boise State scored the next five points to take a 64-58 lead including another three-pointer from Jessup forcing an OR timeout. Still, it's not often that we see back-to-back rematches in college football, so look for both teams to pull out all the stops with Mountain West glory at stake.

With under a minute to go, the game was tied at 70 after Payton Pritchard tied the game with a layup. There were 3.1 seconds left and that's when Lexus Williams happened. Elijah Brown was fouled and went to the line, hitting both free throws to put OR up 1, 68-67.

Altman has been harping on defense to his players so as to cut down on fouls, but the message has been slow to take hold.

"We have a tremendous amount of work to do", Altman said.

Arizona handed the Ducks their last loss at home 80-62 in one of their worst beatings of the last three years. He started 35 of 38 games over two seasons, but his scoring average was down to 2.7 points per game this season after finishing at 10.5 as a freshman. The two accounted for 17 points and six rebounds. A senior post, he had 19 points and a career-high 21 rebounds in a loss at Cal State San Marcos.

"That's a huge deal", he said, "and that's what we wanted to come in and do".

The Broncos shot 7 of 11 from 3-point range in the second half, with Jessup making 5 of 7.

Bama's now 3-1 against ranked teams, with a loss to Auburn and wins against Fresno, LSU, and Mississippi State.
