Xiaomi Redmi 5A Launched in India On Dec 7 at Rs 4999

Confirmed date of the announcement of Xiaomi smartphones Redmi Redmi 5 and 5 Plus, which, according to rumors, was supposed to come out today, November 29, 2017. The device will be available in two versions -2GB RAM/16GB storage and 3GB RAM/32GB storage. After the first 50 lakh units get sold, the company has mentioned to sell it for Rs 5,999. Subscribers will have to make Rs 199 recharge for 12 months. The device will sport 2GB / 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, while a 12-megapixel main snapper is expected to be included on its back. The Reliance Jio plan comes with a validity of 28 days.


Now with the device being official in India, the Chinese tech giant, Xiaomi, has announced a discount of Rs. 1,000 for the initial 5 million Redmi 5A buyers. The phone comes with a 5.00-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 720 pixels by 1280 pixels at a PPI of 294 pixels per inch.

The Xiaomi Redmi Y1 runs Android 7.0 and is powered by a 3080mAh non removable battery. Rear camera: The phone comes with a 13-megapixel camera. Besides the smartphone offers dual SIM, 4G with VoLTE, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, and a micro USB port. The smartphone measures 140.4x70.1x8.35mm and weighs 137 grams.
