Justice League will reveal the 'true' Superman

However, Cavill told Entertainment Weekly (via ScreenRant) that when Superman does fly back onto the scene, he'll be much better than he was in Man of Steel and Batman v Superman. DC legend Geoff Johns was personally responsible for creating a faithful rendition of the comic book character.

"Geoff and I have been delving into the history of the character to get to the core of who Superman is", Cavill said. It's been nearly 10 years since the first MCU film, Iron Man (2008), was released and we've had a decade of origin stories and superhero installments since then.

Jim Gordon will be making his DCEU debut in this week's Justice League, and he will be played by J.K. Simmons, who many fans will remember from Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy.

The time has finally come-Warner Bros.is set to release Justice League in theaters on November 17th, and tonight is the film's world premiere. The iterations of the character we have a seen on screen up to this point have been tough and smart, but haven't really seen a version of the character get down and dirty in the streets.

In the film, Bruce Wayne/Batman (Ben Affleck) and Diana Prince/Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) are inspired by Superman's (Henry Cavill) apparent sacrifice for humanity so they assemble a team of metahumans consisting of Barry Allen/The Flash (Ezra Miller), Arthur Curry/Aquaman (Jason Mamoa), and Vicor Stone/Cyborg (Ray Fisher).
