Bengals Player: Officials Have Provoked, Cursed Vontaze Burfict Multiple Times

Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict has earned a reputation as one of the dirtiest players in the National Football League and Sunday's matchup with the Tennessee Titans won't do much to change that fact. This is the first ejection in Burfict's career, but he has been penalized several other times. He arm out of the way on the sideline in the second quarter after quarterback Marcus Mariota was run out of bounds.

While the contact with the official wasn't particularly egregious, the Titans seemed to provoke Burfict, who has a reputation for hits that have been deemed dirty.

Burfict served a three-game suspension earlier this season for hitting a defenseless player and has reportedly accrued over $300,000 worth of fines over his career.

Burfict was suspended for the first three games of this season for an illegal hit against Kansas City Chiefs fullback Anthony Sherman in the preseason.

During his five-year National Football League career, Burfict has been forfeited over $800,000 due to suspensions and fines for numerous penalties ranging from unnecessary roughness, personal fouls and roughing the passer.
