Moto X4 smartphone with 16 megapixels front camera launched at Rs 20999


The IP68-rated water resistant design keeps Moto X4 protected from accidental spills, splashes and even puddles, so whether you're mountain biking in the rain or there's a spill in your kitchen, you can say goodbye to water damage.

According to Motorola, the Moto X4 will be sold in Super Black and Sterling Blue colours. The matte back finish and the multi-coloured back panels have been replaced with a glass back design which looks more elegant.

Moto X4 marks the revival of the "X" series of smartphones by Motorola. Additionally, the phone features a 5.2-inch IPS screen with full HD resolution and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 octa-core processor. The company claims that the smartphone can deliver six hours of power with 15 minutes of charging.

The smartphone runs on Android Nougat with Android Oreo update coming soon and houses a 3,000 mAh battery. Connectivity options are - Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, USB Type-C, 3.5mm audio-jack, and Global Positioning System.

In terms of camera specifications, the Moto X4 rocks a dual-camera setup with a 12-megapixel and another 8-megapixel sensor. The 12MP camera comes with f/2.0 aperture, while the 8MP sensor has f/2.2 aperture. The dual camera setup can capture the depth of field information that is called bokeh mode. Or if you're looking to spice up your selfies, try out the Face Filters feature, which lets you add a layer of animations to your photos or videos. The camera app has also picked up new intelligent feature like the one that recognizes landmarks and objects, which in a way is pretty similar to the Bixby.

The front-facer is a 16MP selfie camera that has LED flash and f/2.0 aperture for a great selfie capturing experience.

Under the hood the Moto X4 packs in a Snapdragon 630 chipset, paired with 3GB/4GB RAM. Moto X4 has a metal and glass body, something rare to find in this price point. For instance, you can swipe three fingers to capture screenshots, and chop twice for flashlight. The Wireless Sound System gives you an option to connect the device with up to 4 wireless speakers simultaneously. Priced at Rs 23,999 the smartphone will be exclusively available on Flipkart tonight 12 AM onwards. When it comes to the RAM and storage, that is 3GB and 32GB respectively for one variant and 4GB and 64GB for the other, with the Moto X4 having a support for the MicroSD card for storage expansion.
