IPhone X Affected by Green Line on OLED Display, Some Users Say

"It's very noticeable. Is anyone else having this problem?" asked darus214. Prior to the speaker problems, the most recent issue was the prominent green line which appeared on the side of the display. After unresponsive display issue in cold weather reported by some iPhone X users last week, the new smartphone has been reported to develop a vertical green line on side of the display in at least in some units. Users claim the so-called "crackling" or "buzzing" sounds from the device's earpiece speaker tend to occur at high or max volumes. There have already been several issues with the iPhone X, and the latest issue relates to the iPhone X speaker buzzing.

We know for sure that Apple is working on an update to fix the iPhone X responsivity problems in cold weather and that might be the iOS 11.1.2 update. "After several seconds the screen will become fully responsive again", Apple said in a statement to CNET. It's unclear at the moment whether or not this can be fixed with a firmware update, or if Apple will have to make some hardware changes on the iPhone X to prevent this happening with future devices.

The green line problem appears to be rather more limited, but it is concerning nonetheless.

In the past week, Apple users reportedly complained of not being able to type the letter "I", as it was automatically changed to other letters or characters.

The line, which does not go away once it manifests itself, even after a full reboot, has been reported as appearing close to the edges of the screen.

Hopefully the same can be done for those users who are experiencing issues with their iPhone X.

However, Apple says that it is aware of the issue and is planning a software update to fix the issue in the coming days.
