ESPNChicago is reporting that the Chicago Bulls and National Basketball Association are expected to announce that the city will host the 2020 All Star Game, according to a league source. The announcement was made by NBA Commission Adam Silver at the United Center, the home of the Chicago Bulls. "We look forward to being here". Behind the efforts of Bulls superstar Michael Jordan, the Eastern Conference won 138-133 over the Western Conferece. The city last hosted the festivities back in 1988 at Chicago Stadium.

"What he (Jerry Reinsdorf) didn't realize is that there are other influential people who thought otherwise", he said. "It's my pleasure to be part of the National Basketball Association at the time when the All-Star Game and surrounding festivities are coming back to town".

It is just the latest in a string of high-profile sporting events to take place in Chicago in recent years.

The Windy City is finally getting another shot at the marquee event.
