India's leading telecom operator, Bharti Airtel on Tuesday launched the "Data Rollover" facility for its home broadband customers that will allow users to carry forward all unused monthly data and add to the data benefit of the next billing cycle.
Customers who subscribe to Airtel Infinity postpaid plan get 20 GB 4G/3G data at Rs 499 per month, said Airtel in a release.
This move comes almost four months after Airtel rolled out this feature to its postpaid customers in August this year, as part of the telecom operator's new digital innovation program - Project Next - aimed at improving the customer experience across all of its services and touch points.
For prepaid customers, Airtel has introduced a pack of Rs 448 under which users will get unlimited local and STD calls, unlimited outgoing calls on national roaming and 70GB of data with validity of 70 days. New customers joining Airtel's broadband network will be automatically eligible for data rollover. Further, the refreshed Rs 499 Infinity postpaid plan comes with Airtel Secure device protection plan for smartphones against physical damage and malware. The feature makes Airtel the first service provider to introduce such feature for fixed home broadband in India.
Moreover, Airtel V-Fiber is now available in 87 cities across India. Customers will also get free subscription to Wynk Music and Airtel TV. The internet data can be tracked on the MyAirtel App.
Airtel on Wednesday revised its select prepaid plans to offer more data benefits to its subscribers.
"At Airtel, our constant endeavour is to deliver best-in-class service experience and great value to our customers".
Through this facility, the user can carry over the unused internet data to the next billing cycle.
