The official Twitter account for Roseanne has shared the first behind-the-scenes images for the upcoming revival, which features the cast at a table read on set in the Conner household. "Lauded for its humor, relevance, warmth and honesty, the Conner family will continue to deal with the economic challenges of living pay check to pay check in 2018". Michael Fishman (D.J.) and Lecy Goranson (Becky).

The show ran for nine years until 1997, which means it's been 20 years since when the series finished to the start of this new one.

Star and executive producer Roseanne Barr is seen on the left side of the photo, chuckling at her co-stars across the table.

The costars are also joined by long-time director John Pasquin and a new executive producer, Whitney Cummings, who joined the crew.

E! reports that the first script for the eight-episode revival is titled Twenty Years Of Life.

Fans will be thrilled to see the cast reunited and cracking up together again, but it's hard to overlook the absence of Johnny Galecki, who played Darlene's boyfriend David on the show.

It's flawless timing for ABC to release the image, since October 18 is the 29th anniversary of the premiere of the iconic sitcom Roseanne.

"We're rebooting 'Roseanne, '" Dungey said at the time.
