The 170-pound contest will headline UFC Fight Night at Bell MTS Place.
The UFC has added another very compelling bout to its December schedule, as the company's announced that Robbie Lawler and Rafael dos Anjos are going to throw hands on December 16th. Now 2-0 at welterweight, Dos Anjos, like Lawler, stands out as one of the division's premier contenders.
Tickets for the show go on sale to the public on October 20th, and to Fight Club members on October 18th. UFC Winnipeg, otherwise known as UFC on Fox 26, takes place December 16. Victories over Carlos Condit, Rory MacDonald, Johny Hendricks, Matt Brown and Jake Ellenberger highlight the Lawler resume, which includes a 602-day reign as UFC welterweight champion.
Former lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos, meanwhile, has seen something of a resurgence since moving up to welterweight.
ESPN.com ranks Lawler and dos Anjos the Nos. "Ruthless" fought Donald Cerrone this past July at UFC 214 to a unanimous decision after taking a year off from being inside the Octagon.
The win over Magny was RDA's second win in a row, after he moved up from 155 earlier this year.
With the show headlining on FOX, the victor would have a strong case for a title shot at welterweight champion Tyron Woodley, who is now out of action with a torn labrum.
Canadian light-heavyweight Misha Cirkunov (13-3) will take on No. 3 American-based Brazilian Glover Teixeira, the UFC also announced Thursday in a release.
The event will be aired live on CTV TWO and RDS 2.
