At present, the mid-2000s Maruti WagonR was being used by the Aam Aadmi Party's media coordinator Vandana Singh.

The humble Blue hatchback, which became synonymous with Kejriwal's "aam aadmi" image, was being used by an AAP functionary these days. The stolen auto was bearing the vehicle number DL-9CG-9769 and blue in colour.

Delhi Police has registered an FIR for a auto which once belonged to Arvind Kejriwal.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central) Mandeep Randhawa said the police registered the FIR around 4 p.m. AAP had gifted this vehicle to their chief, Mr Kejriwal a few years ago. The IP Estate police has registered a case and is also reviewing the CCTV footage of the crime spot. It is still in the name of AAP, but Mr Kejriwal no longer uses this vehicle. The AAP leader's WagonR was stolen from near Delhi Secretariat.

Even as Delhi Police jumped into action, Twitterati were not too far behind and went into overdrive to make light of what is a serious matter.

After using it during his famous 49-day-stint, Kejriwal gave it to Naveen Jaihind, the party's Haryana incharge.
