Odell Beckham Jr: New York Giants wide receiver suffers broken ankle

Legendary wide receivers Chad Johnson and Terrell Owens didn't take long to tweet at the New York Giants after the Odell Beckham Jr. injury. According to reports, Beckham will get a second opinion before deciding on surgery to fix the ankle, which is the same one that he injured during the preseason.

The Giants did not say that Beckham will miss the rest of the season, but that seems likely given the severity of the injury and the extended recovery and rehab time that is coming Beckham's way.

"I spoke to him after the game", McAdoo said. Dwayne Harris will have surgery to fix a fractured fifth metatarsal in his foot.

Brandon Marshall was also having further testing and evaluations done on his ankle while Sterling Shepard has been ruled day-to-day with a sprained ankle.

The addition of new wide receivers and bumping guys up from the practice squad could give the Giants a sense of what other talent they may have on their hands as they try to make sense of an 0-5 season. While he was limited by an ankle issue to start the year, he had played well when on the field with 25 catches for 302 yards and three touchdowns in four games.

"Next man up", McAdoo said. The Giants added Tavarres King and Travis Rudolph to replace Beckham and Harris on the active roster. Some Giants fans are hoping the team will bring back Victor Cruz. Neither player returned in the second half.
