Giants suspend CB Rodgers-Cromartie

In what has been a insane Wednesday, the New York Giants announced that they suspended veteran cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie but there's a possibility he could return Thursday.

McAdoo didn't delve into what led to the conversation or give any idea about when Rodgers-Cromartie might be back with the team, but the cornerback touched on both in a conversation with Josina Anderson of ESPN following the coach's announcement.

Rodgers-Cromartie did exit Sunday's 27-22 loss to the Chargers due to what was believed to be a left leg injury, but he was excluded from the injury report. "We will suspend him", McAdoo said. He and Rodgers-Cromartie are two of the most valuable players on the team.

In another odd twist to a disastrous season for the Giants, the team has suspended cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie. McAdoo said the Giants therefore would be suspending Rodgers-Cromartie but didn't provide further information. Rodgers-Cromartie said he handled it the wrong way, "but to sit me a game had me hot, so I left".

Asked about whether DRC was being suspended for something that happened on Sunday during the game, McAdoo would only answer "that's all I have for you right now".

The Giants starting 0-5 is hard enough but it now seems that they could be dealing with some internal problems in the locker room.

Usually the Giants' starting nickel cornerback, Rodgers-Cromartie started on the outside against the Chargers in place of Eli Apple, who was benched for three series.
