Florida Unveils Hideous Gator-Themed Uniforms vs. Texas A&M

Without further ado, I present to you Nike's gator-themed uniforms for the Florida Gators this weekend.

The uniforms by Nike were reportedly in the works for two years. The jersey has an alligator skin pattern.

The helmet features the Gator head logo, the first time the school has used that on the helmet.

According to Florida themselves, the official color that they're going with is "Swamp Green".

For the record, the jersey is described as "swamp green" and "covered in a tonal gator print".

Matching sideline apparel from Nike is also available. And the Internet immediately hated the new looks. UF beat A&M, 42-6, in the first meeting in 1962 and Texas A&M returned the favor in the1977 Sun Bowl in El Paso, beating the Gators, 37-14. And in these new gator hide monstrosities-designed to celebrate the 25th anniversary of "The Swamp"-Florida has crafted their very own pigskin Picasso". "We feel comfortable there, but we hope our opponents feel tentative. We feel this is an appropriate nickname for our stadium".

The Gators take on Texas A&M on Saturday.

Coach Jim McElwain says Toney (shoulder) won't practice and is "highly questionable" to play against the Aggies (4-2, 2-1 Southeastern Conference).
