Bharti Airtel on Wednesday launched a "low cost" 4G smartphone in partnership with Chinese handset maker Karbonn Mobiles to counter Reliance's "free" JioPhone offer. The company has collaborated with the Indian smartphone manufacturer Karbonn to provide the phone to the customers. The device is powered by a 1,400 mAh battery.

As expected, Airtel's launched an affordable 4G smartphone to compete with the Rs 0 Reliance JioPhone that made headlines a few months ago.

If the customer opts out of Rs. 169 plan then he will have to make a recharge of 3000 Rs for the first 18 months to get Rs 500 cashback.
