Conte tells Morata to stop playing like a gentleman

Pedro scored Chelsea's second and Azpilicueta was outstanding during a win that proved the Blues showed that they have the quality all over the pitch to fight off the Manchester clubs and retain their Premier League crown. For sure, it will be a really tough game for us but we must be excited because last season we didn't play in this competition.

"Also I like that he's a good finisher, he "feels" the goal in every moment, he's very good and understanding which is the best position in the box to receive the ball, to understand where the ball is going", stressed Conte.

"In the second half we scored two goals and created many chances to improve the final result".

"I think this is very important for Chelsea".

"It was a really good performance from Alvaro".

Following last weekend's goalless draw with Arsenal it was suggested that Morata might be struggling with the aggression of defenders and the different style of refereeing in England, but Conte singled out the Spain international's physicality after the Stoke win.

Antonio Conte has lauded "good guy" Alvaro Morata by saying that he is the sort of man you would allow your daughter to marry, but went on to say that he wants the young forward to add aggression to his game in the coming season.

"I think Alvaro performed very well".

An injury to Jesus brought Aguero back into the team and his performances convinced manager Pep Guardiola to begin this season with both players in his starting XI.

A last-ditch Stoke clearance stopped substitute Eden Hazard's cross-shot from finding Morata, but the 24-year-old was not to be denied his hat-trick. "We are rotating and the answer from my players is positive".

Stoke, which was fielding a makeshift defense with Kurt Zouma ineligible and Ryan Shawcross and Kevin Wimmer out injured, is 15th in the table having recorded just win in its opening six games.
