Trump tweets that he'll head to Alabama to support Sen. Luther Strange


Earlier today President Trump announced that he will be in Huntsville next Saturday in a show of support for Sen.

Strange, the state's former attorney general, in February was appointed by former Gov. Robert Bentley to the Senate seat vacated by Jeff Sessions.

President Trump made the announcement through his Twitter page Saturday.

"I am proud to have President Trump's endorsement in this race and I am looking forward to his trip to Alabama", said Luther Strange in a press release.

Unusual is in a tight GOP primary race with former Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore to fill Attorney General Jeff Sessions' former Senate seat. "Big Luther" is a great guy who gets things done!"
