Nike released Cleveland's new "Statement Edition" uniforms on Friday night and, as did the old black uniforms, the new threads feature the Cavaliers "C" upon the chest with a black base. For the Clippers, Blake Griffin unveiled a predominantly black uniform.
According to Nike, the design is inspired by the teams' "desire to make a bold statement the moment they step on the court".
As many would have expected, the Lakers jersey did not see much of a change.
Nike unveiled the new uni's in grand fashion as they invited one player from each team to model their respective cities.
In addition to the jerseys, the players also debuted a new hoody warmup jacket as well.
Nike has taken over the NBA's uniform contract this year and rolled out some new and classic looks. However, one of the more interesting announcement was Nike's new NBA Connected Jersey, which fans can buy. The tags work in conjunction with the NikeConnect app to bring to your smartphone pre-game arrival video, game highlights, and music playlists from National Basketball Association stars.
At the event, Nike had a representative player from every team come out in a hoodie to hide the new jerseys. Fans can get the other new ones starting September 29.
This is one of the four different types of alternate uniforms teams will sport next season.
