Massive fire guts part of RK Studio

A source exclusively revealed to us that the sets of Super Dancer 2 has been destroyed completely.

The fire reportedly broke out at the sets of the TV show. Eleven fire engines, five water tankers and ambulances were called in to douse the blaze and rescue operations, according to IANS. "No loss of life or injury to anyone was reported in the incident". We are hopeful that we will be able to make amends by that time and get the set ready.

RK studio is one of the most iconic and oldest studios in Bollywood, the mega-recording place was founded by legendary actor Raj Kapoor.

A major fire broke out in RK Studio located in Mumbai's Chembur area. "All your concern appreciated". The fire had damaged hall number 1 of the studios. The fire was confined to 100×80 sq ft area on the ground floor of the studio building in the electrical wing. Luckily, there have been no casualties or injuries.


Fire officials initially assumed it was a minor blaze. The actor finally tweeted and assured everyone that no one has been injured in the accident.

Flames and dense smoke were seen emanating from the studio for several hours.

Awaara, Shri 420, Jis Desh Mein Ganga Behti Hai, Mera Naam Joker, Bobby, Satyam Shivam Sundaram, Ram Teri Ganga Maili are some of the other films made under the banner. Later, his younger brother Rajiv Kapoor directed "Prem Granth".

The last film made under the banner was Aa Ab Laut Chalen by Rishi Kapoor in 1999.
