Tottenham Hotspur seek to make most of Chelsea's woes

Tottenham host Chelsea as they take to the field for their first Premier League game at Wembley this season. "We are ready to fight to face this hard situation and we must work, work, work to have a good present and future".

"(John) Terry, Mikel (Obi), (Miroslav) Ivanovic, and now we need to find the right way to build and it's right to know we must have patience to build for the future.

Spurs went unbeaten at White Hart Lane last season but have a bad record at the national stadium, where they have won only two out of ten games since it was rebuilt.

Speaking via the Spurs' official website, Alli said: "Obviously every game is important and every game means a lot to the players and the fans".

Antonio Conte has warned troubled champions Chelsea not to look for excuses after their turbulent start to the season.

He has been frustrated in the transfer market this summer as he seeks to continue rebuilding Chelsea.

The Blues started off their title defence with a 3-2 loss to Burnley at Stamford Bridge and the champions are facing a number of issues ahead of the contest, with Diego Costa's unrest high on the list. Conte laughed off Costa's complaints on Friday. They tend to begin seasons slowly under Mauricio Pochettino. "For sure", Conte said. I have to try to think to bring on the bench the possibility to change the game. Obviously, we were disappointed with the FA Cup semi-final against them at Wembley. Thirteen players played regularly. Those who applied after the date mentioned above have no hope of going to our first Premier League home game of the season.

Pedro is a major doubt with an ankle injury while Eden Hazard is also expected to miss out as he's still working his way back to fitness from a broken ankle. Chelsea's decision to sell Nemanja Matic is looking more freaky each day.

"So if they are interested in players from the Premier League, they also have to do it before the limit".

"If you'd said to me that one team won't buy anyone, Tottenham would have been the team I would have suggested because they've been building over the last few years", he said.

And he says he must work with the same squad to outlast previous managers, who have never made it to four straight seasons during the Red Rom era.

Conte's contract has only two seasons remaining on it and he was non-committal when pushed on whether he would extend it.

Conte insists he is leaving transfers to others - primarily director Marina Granovskaia and technical director Michael Emenalo - and will be happy whatever the make up of his squad come the close of the summer transfer window on August 31. It is the most exciting place to play football. "I think Tottenham is doing this very well".

Tiemoue Bakayko is in-line to make his debut for Chelsea as Conte has admitted he may need to rush the French global back in to action following a knee injury due to his lack of options in midfield.
