Bryce Petty played the second half and completed 15 of 24 pass attempts for 160 yards while getting intercepted in the closing seconds.

On the second drive, Hackenberg was almost intercepted by safety Glover Quin on a pass that bounced off wide receiver Charone Peake's hands, but Quin dropped the ball. After an Abdullah six-yard run, a Matt Stafford 11 yard loss on a sack, and then an 11-yard completion to TJ Jones, they were forced to bring out the kicking team.

Bilal Powell led the NY rushing attack with 32 yards on nine carries. On the next Lions drive, Stafford came out throwing.

It is unlikely Bowles will announce his starting quarterback this week, but it is clear McCown will start the year as No. 1.

The fun started in the second quarter after Jones caught a pretty impressive five-yard touchdown pass from Matthew Stafford. The Jets held them to a 25-yard field goal from Prater that made it 13-0 at halftime. That finished off a 13-play, 79-yard drive.

I'm no touchdown celebration expert, but I think Jones is doing a double-dutch jump rope celebration there, and I have to say, I really like the effort from Tate.
