During a segment of a special MSNBC broadcast featuring Joy Reid, former ethics czar to President George W. Bush Richard Painter blasted President Donald Trump's stubborn refusal to denounce white supremacists and his attempt to equally blame the left for the violence that killed a 32-year-old woman in Charlottesville, VA.

Scaramucci's frustration with Bannon was put on full display last month after New Yorker reporter Ryan Lizza published an article detailing an expletive-laced phone conversation he had with Scaramucci. "It's actually terrorism and whether it's domestic or worldwide terrorism, with the moral authority of the presidency, you have to call that stuff out", Scaramucci in the air of ABC.

During ABC News' livestream interview after This Week, Scaramucci was asked if he believes Bannon is a white supremacist or white nationalist.

"There were probably one or two people who wanted me in that job", including Trump, Scaramucci said.

Kelly is said to be holding daily meetings with top White House aides throughout the president's working vacation in Bedminster.

"What happens in Washington.is the president is not a representative of the political establishment class, so for whatever reason the people have made a decision that they want to eject him", Scaramucci said in the ABC News interview on Sunday.

Additionally, Kelly should present the president a primer on one bedrock Marine leadership principle: know yourself and seek self-improvement. "He's got to be more into where the moderates are and the independents ... that love the president, so if he does that he'll have a very successful legislative agenda", he said.

Kelly faces a White House that's been plagued by leaks and controversies. "The president has a very good idea of the people that are undermining his agenda that are serving their own interests".

"He likes doing the opposite of what the media thinks he's going to do".
