Just when everyone thought that Jab Harry Met Sejal will turn tides at the box-office, the exact opposite happened. While the two films performed very well at the box office, Shah Rukh Khan's Fan and Dear Zindagi, both of which were released in the same year, could not even meet expectations. The film turned out to be the most negatively rated film ever; the audience anger was palpable - for being taken for granted. As Jab Harry met Sejal is getting the worst reviews of Shahrukh Khan's career, everybody awaits the magic to be lit again. The latest report on BoxofficeIndia.com states that the film has made as much as Rs 6.75 crore on its first Monday. Trade expert Taran Adarsh called the film's performance disappointing, and said Bollywood desperately needs a hit film now. On the second day (Saturday), Jab Harry Met Sejal has collected Rs. 15 crore at the box office. From next week, the movie will continue to struggle as Akshay Kumar's "Toilet: Ek Prem Katha" will take a huge chunk of screens.
Compare the revenue to what Shah Rukh Khan's last film, Raees, also earned at the BO in four days and you will get a clearer picture.
