Scaramucci 'Made A Mistake' Trusting A Reporter With His Wildly Profane Rant

That said, a just-published interview between new White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci and the New Yorker's Ryan Lizza is insane.

Scaramucci labelled Priebus "a fucking paranoid schizophrenic", and accused Priebus of blocking him for months from joining the White House staff. Priebus also leaked information about him to reporters, Scaramucci alleged. "I'll get to the person who leaked that to you", Scaramucci said of previous information that made its way to the press, before turning his attention to #Reince Priebus.

Lizza's on-the-record interview with Scaramucci is the talk of Washington, and some TV talking heads have noted the irony of a man hell-bent on squelching leaks now leaking about other senior White House officials.

White House spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders says she has nothing to add to Scaramucci's tweet. "I'm not trying to build my own brand off the f--ing strength of the president".

"I'm not Steve Bannon, I'm not trying to s*** my own c***. I'm here to serve this country", Scaramucci continued, according to Lizza's record of their phone call.

Scaramucci apparently called Lizza last night, attempting to get him to reveal the source of a story about him getting dinner with the president, the first lady, Sean Hannity, and former Fox News exec Bill Shine.

Scaramucci then said he had to go, to "start tweeting some sh*t to make this guy [Priebus] insane".

The heated tensions have rattled many in the White House, but the president has not weighed in publicly on the spat.

He said: "I ask these guys not to leak anything and they can't help themselves".

"As much as I've enjoyed the things that Scaramucci has said so far in his one week on the job, we got an incredible taste of unfiltered Mooch today ..."

"I'm not Stephen K. Bannon, I'm not trying to (vulgarity)", he said. "I was anxious when Sean Spicer left that the communications office at the White House would lose some flavor. Reince Priebus - if you want to leak something - he'll be asked to resign very shortly". That tweet has since been deleted.

You can read the rest here, but you are warned the language gets quite colorful. It has also been reported that Lizza has recordings of the conversation between him and Scaramucci.

Preibus, left, and Bannon were the two targets of Scaramucci's attacks.
