Man Killed In Motorcycle Crash


A 35-year-old Worcester man died Saturday night after a motorcycle collided with a parked vehicle in Worcester.

Police and EMS crews were called out just after 1:30am to Ridout St. near Elmwood.

The preliminary investigation indicates that the operator of the motorcycle was traveling on Francis Street and struck a 2006 Mitsubishi that was parked in the southbound lane. The bike came to rest around 140 feet from the point of impact. The man was subsequently pronounced dead at approximately 8:24 p.m.

A motorcyclist has been killed after an early Monday morning in Old South. Two others involved in the crash were taken to a hospital and remain in serious condition.

Police have closed Ridout Street between Elmwood Avenue and Craig Steet with members of the Traffic Management Unit investigate.
