Dragon Ball FighterZ Won't Have Cross Play; Will Have Stage Changes

Basically, Hiroki is saying that Bandai Namco will determine interest in Dragon Ball games on the Switch based on the success of Xenoverse 2, with the "fan demand" he discussed in a previous interview being measured by that game's sales. It'll be hitting the Nintendo Switch later this year, porting over the three-dimensional fighting game to that system and hopefully rocking all of the graphical dragons in the process.

In terms of cross play, sadly it sounds like it won't be happening.

We do plan to bring the game to those consoles and Xbox One, but we aren't planning on any cross play. Dragon Ball FighterZ should be pronounced as "Dragon Ball Fighters". Also introduced in the Androids arc, Trunks first appeared after the Frieza saga to warn Goku and the other Z fighters of the dangers posed by the Androids created by Dr. Gero. This can include buildings and more getting erased by fireballs and more.

Trunks was announced for Dragon Ball FighterZ by the title's producer Tomoko Hiroki during the 2017 Evo fighting game tournament. They want to make sure players are able to use them when they need it. In addition to the new trailer, it was announced that Dragon Ball FighterZ will get a beta featuring nine playable characters on July 26, 2017.

Perhaps one of the biggest announcements at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) was from Microsoft. The characters Trunks was beating up in the reveal trailer will likely be included in the beta.
