Man Utd Reportedly Agree Personal Terms With Zlatan Ibrahimovic Replacement

Morata told Tele 5 (h/t Marca): "He is a great player".

Real Madrid star Alvaro Morata has said he expects to still be team-mates with James Rodriguez next season amid speculation linking both players with a move to Manchester United.

Morata remembers that Mourinho gave him his chance at Real Madrid and hopes to be able to reunite with him.

It was suggested recently that at the final his former Juventus team-mates reminded him of a promise he made never to play for another side in Italy.

Blossoming at Juventus, Morata was bought back by Real Madrid, and the 24-year-old has since spent most of his time being a backup option for Karim Benzema, yet managed to outscore the French striker.

While the Champions League holders value the striker at nearer £80m the Express are citing a report coming from Spanish outlet Marca that claims Morata has now made a decision to join United following a personal phonecall with Mourinho.

Gab Marcotti and Steve Nicol believe Alvaro Morata would perfectly fit with Man United after Zlatan Ibrahimovic's departure.

The Real Madrid striker has agreed a deal to join the Old Trafford club but is just waiting for a fee to be arranged between the two parties, according to the Teelgraph. Alvaro is a player who wants to play a more important role.

"He wants to play more, which makes sense for a striker who scored 19 goals [in all competitions]".

With that in mind, and in the current market, it seems like should United land a deal for around £60m then it may not be bad business after all.

Despite his limited opportunities, Morata continued to score regularly when given a chance, netting 15 league goals last season.
